Hawkfire is an initiatory coven, focused on earnest magical and ritual training. We are also an inclusive coven, open to Seekers and Initiates of any race, culture, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, income stability, or education level. (Please note, we are currently full and not accepting new Seekers as of December 2024.)

Hawkfire’s physical covenstead is in the University City area of Charlotte, North Carolina on the move. A daughter of Foxfire Coven, Hawkfire practices Gardnerian Wicca as passed by our elders and is committed to Craft training for serious Seekers from all backgrounds. We are inclusive of all identities and believe that the Mysteries are individual revelations which can also be fostered through this coven-based practice.

About Wren Robin

High Priestess Wren Robin (wrencaprimulg@gmail.com) is an initiate of Gardnerian Wicca, and maintains a firm commitment to equity in Craft training. She also maintains personal magical and devotional practices separate from this tradition.

As of March 2026, Wren is also a member of the Minoan Sisterhood. This branch of Wicca was started started by Lady Rhea and Lady Miw in the late 1970s, and was passed to them by their close friend and the founder of the Minoan Brotherhood, Edmund Buczynski. Eddie was an amazing spark on this planet, and Wren became initiated and elevated in large part to count this amazing human in her magical lineage. Hail, Traveler!

For several years, Wren kept a blog on her personal practice and where this intersected with her coven-based practice. While Wren wrote primarily a Priestess of the gods of ‘the Wice’, she also discussed her practices as a solitary witch, priestess, sorceress, and magician.  Like many witches and magicians, she balances these arts with a career, family, community engagement, and assorted hobbies. 

Hawkfire History

Hawkfire Coven started as an online Gardnerian Outer Court, created during the global pandemic of 2020. It operated from August 15th, 2020 to August 14th, 2021. During this period, this online Outer Court had five Seekers from three different countries and four different time zones. Each member went on to pursue their paths independently with the full support and encouragement of the High Priestess. Wren is honored to have been a part of their paths.

Hawkfire re-started its hybrid practice in June 2022 and has since initiated and adopted several members and continues to operate in a hybrid model, with most members in diverse cities, and the coven meeting in Charlotte (and in the future other East Coast locations) and at Gardnerian Gathers once or twice a year for intensive in-person practice.
